ADVICE TO REASSIGNED TEACHERS

MAKE PHONE CALL AND SITE VISIT

1) Make phone call for transfer interview as early as possible

In case of problem, wisely involve Human Resource

Sometime it’s better to visit site and have a face to face interview with administrators

INTERVIEWING

Post your updated resume on first class now  ( go on http://www1.pgcps.org and click on job opportunity)

In the dialogue post, include what is unique about you

You must have a portfolio, highlight your skills

Never talk about past mistreatment and never talk about people even if they asked it (just say,”I think kids are lovely there, I enjoy teaching there.)

First impression is the last one

July 15 or around would be the last day to indicate preference to transfer to another school .Check with Human Resource)

Vacancy would be posted by principals/ human resources on PGCPS database, login regularly

Get a map of PGCPS which can ease your in selecting Geographical preference.
