Staying Current with MSDE Praxis Requirements

ETS is offering several additional tests in a computer-delivered  format that will be introduced throughout the testing year. These  computer-delivered assessments are given by appointment through

a national network of Prometric™ Testing Centers. Visit www.ets.org\PRAXIS for test centers and schedules.

For tests available in both formats (paper and computer)*, the computer-delivered versions cover the same content as the paperdelivered versions and are scored on the same scale; however, the

computer-delivered tests have different test codes.

* If tests are offered in both formats, educators may take the test in either format.

Updates to Praxis I series: In August 2011, the GRE launched a revised test that has a different scale score. The former test had

scores ranging from 200-800 in 10 point increments. The new test has scale scores ranging from 130-170, in one point increments.

ETS provided a Concordance Table denoting that the equivalent for the GRE composite score (1000 taken prior to September 1, 2011

and still available) on the new scale is 297. The composite is the verbal and quantitative portions of the test only.
